Belfast Vegan Map

Last night I was invited down to The Ivory Restaurant & Bar which is situated on the third floor of the House of Fraser, Belfast, Victoria Square. It was here that the launch of the new “Belfast Vegan Map” was being held, an exciting go to for all vegans of Belfast to source out which restaurants cater to their needs.

The evening began with a vegan cosmopolitan which tasted superb out on their terrace, overlooking the city views. It appeared while gazing down on Chichester/May street that  Belfast had no plans of dying down at a meer 7pm on a Thursday. Beaming car lights from the traffic and spotlights from other eatery doorways created a little bit of a Hollywood glamour vibe which definitely set the mood.

Me and the city

A little bit in to the evening and the NI bloggers start finding one another, like moths to a flame, at this point instagram profiles actually humanize and it is always my favourite part of an event!

Canapes for the evening included mediterranean kebabs, the vegan burger and stuffed pine leaves – all nutritiously delicious and packed with flavours.

Alan Wallace, founder of the Belfast Vegan Map as well as Insta Belfast, gave a brief speech on how he came to be a vegan and why he wanted to make going out for dinner an easier task. His team were exceptional.

How can we forget the #gifted goodie bag which included all sorts of vegan nutrients.

I must confess I am not a vegan but would certainly consider it now I know this map exists. An excellent idea for increasing restaurant business and keeping our city ahead with the times.
